tire swap question??
« on: February 07, 2007, 02:25:34 PM »
I just bought my jeep and took off the factory tires and added 31' all terrains...

i started to tub so bought a set of rockcrawler rims that are offset. Now my rubbing has stopped but will i bottom out my fenders if i hit the trail??

I want tt be able to run 32' inch tires for sure and perhaps 33's. Will a 3 inch boosst be good enough??? How bout the budjet boost? whats the biggest i can go for the money.. Or even spend a litttle more to get a higher lift for under $1000... i s the budjet lift worth it??

I had a quote from national to do a 4" lift for around $950 including shocks.  Might want to shop arround if your price range is under 1k.

If you want to get a lift on a budget to clear 33s, here is what you need

-2" budget boost
-2" body lift
-New shocks for 2" lift

The budget boost and body lift will cost probably around $400 for both and then shocks will be $200-$400 depending on which brand.

However, the proper way would be to go buy a 3" suspension lift and you should be able to clear 33s, and if need be a 1" BL.

As for the 31s hitting the fenders, you should be okay with 31s.  If you leave the swaybar connected you will have no problems, but when disconnected it will be clear at full compression.
