tires

Hey Spinal guy!  The bfg 33x10.5's are great.  Much better highway speed.  No real loss of power for acceleration.  It seam that you can hold the gear longer and the turbo has time to spool up to provide boost.  Of course I assume you will be going through stuck again for tires?  I did, another happy customer!!!!  If you need contact info let me know.

i thought stuck again left Fountain???
Anyways, i bought rims and tires from National 4WD(great deal). They should be here in 2 weeks. 33x10.50 on Procomp rockcrawler 15x7 Black rims.
i also saw my buddy Al at Calgary Muffler on Thursday. We cut off everything from the Turbo back. Installed 2.5" freeflow.
MUCH improvement.
Oh Yeah, i decided to keep it for myself, the wife gets something else
i love this thing!!!!

Hey Tom  Bryan has moved to tirecraft.  What I really liked was their unrepairable tire insurance for 4 bucks a tire.  So you puncture a sidewall??  You get another tire.  I am sure it will be prorated for remaining tread but some warranty is better than no warranty!!!  I also had a look at my exhaust.  It looks like I have 2 1/4" mandrel bent stainless exhaust!!!!!  Still has all 3 mufflers.  Loads of power.  For a 4 cyl anyway.  Took it out to McLean.  It offroads quite well.  I am very happy with this truck.

Suddenly these things are everywhere. There was a blue and silver RHD one with a roof rack in Red Deer traffic this morning on the north hill at Gaetz and 67th around 11 am. I've never seen it before. Alberta plate.

Very cool! I'm not sure what I want next. Have to sell this Civic first.

I have a couple questions about the Skyline: Is it already registered? How did the headlights pass the OOP?

There's a place not far from our office (Canadian Custom Trucks?) who does those pimped out high rise full size trucks. Guy there has a black RHD Skyline GTR.

There's also a white Lexus SC coupe with RHD buzzing around slammed to within inches of the pavement. Sounds like an Indy car going by.

Dumb azz question of the day: Is the shift pattern and peddle placement reversed in RHD vehicles? An old buddy of mine was involved with a woman in Australia years ago and you could always tell when he was just back from there because he turned his wipers on every time he changed lanes for a week or two until he got used to his car again. Her car was an automatic though and I've always wondered about gear patterns and peddle layout.

the shift pattern doesnt change nor do the pedal placement clutch on the left break then gas on the right... only thing that does change is the placement of the turn signal switch

Doug,
The GTR is the 'one' to get for serious fast out of the box fun.
But this AWD is perfect for my wife. It lays down about 220hp in a light car.
For $1000 in upgrades it would be at 400hp

Redbull, it is an Alberta registered car. It had zero problems passing OOP. They know how to make the lights legal.

RedDog,
The only difference is the steering wheel. The peddles and shift pattern remain the same. i have gone form 1st to 4th by accident twice in the test drive. i will drive it this week to get used to it while my wife drives the AUTO Pajero to get used to RHD. 8)

Tom,  How much harder is it to drive a RHD during rush hour...ie making left had turns at intersection with some on coming traffic making a left hand turn?

What about dotted single passing lanes in the highway?

I'm having a hard time convicing the wife with RHD cars.

Thanks,
