With all this sun over the last little while,.. do you guys ever feel like swapping tops and maybe doing the odd topless days when it's +5ish?

I've been craving it,.. lol

btw: how are the soft tops in the cold weather? should i bother swapping? or wait till spring?

i did last spring, got snowed on.  wasn't too bad though with the heater cranked.  softtop was a real pain to get up when it was cold and stiff.

all i got is a softy & so far so good. even though the top doesnt want to stay connected to the tracks by the tail gate leaving a large gap, it keeps heat even on the lowest setting. although when its parked the heat goes threw the roof....  :P :-X

Do something about that. My 97 TJ had no 'cat' and allowed me to smell exhaust fumes. i found out that the fumes get sucked in the gap you speak of...not good :o

As for winter and soft tops. That is all i have owned since 97. NO PROBLEM. ;)

must be why I keep waking up in the ditch..   :( j/k..
I dont mind the soft top at all.. mines getting a bit worn and I recently have ripped some seams around the (horridly clogged) zippers and plastic fins. Only reason I want a hard top is just for a higher theft detterent when parking for longer spans of time in the city. I keep all my gear in there; tow rope, shovel, med kit, hatchet, tools, jacks, all kinds of emerg goodies..

in fact, I borrowed a buddies torque wrench awhile ago. he called to see if I could return it, I told him where I was and he offered to come and get it. So instead of coming and finding me, or calling my cell, he finds my jeep in the packed and bustling parking lot, mid day, and just unzips the window, crawls half in and grabs it out the back seat.. !
Also I locked myself out once... lol! ;D pants around my ankles trying to reach the bloody lock! shoulda bin there!
