Tire Limits

Stance ?  For posing on the ramps ? 
 I don't like to much tire sticking out past the flares (broken mirrors, excess mud flying every where) and I'm pretty sure those Boggers are as soft as a pencil eraser.........sidewalls might be a little stiffer for cut and abrasion resistance.
I'm not sure my 4000lb jeep is gonna float over much unless I'm running a set of tracks.......but I have found it will take less power to push a skinnier tire through the mud or snow and bite down into solid bottom  ( if there is any). 
 I will say a wider tire is probably better for rock crawling..................but I don't live in Moab

I think was Dava was meaning by stance with a wider tire is that you create a better COG because you have a wider track and this is especially nice on sidehills

Ahhhhhhhh...........gotcha  , Lower COG is definite asset !!!
 In the new JP they have a stock height Wrangler with 40s on it........but, like I said......trying to stay away from the Sawzall !!

Well.................after giving this lots of thought, I believe I'm going to stick with the 35s.
At over $2000 for a set of 5 38" SS Boggers and then an additional $600 for gears, $300 for set up............OUCH !!!
 Not to mention greater odds of snapping an axle with increased load..................the 35s don't seem to bad at all !!!

a buddy of mine has a TJ with D44s and he has 37s but he is always twisting and snaping the axle but like you said gearing is a factor and with my Jeep I got the stock D35s and only 30 inch tires and I snap the axles 3 or 4 times now.

thats wierd. i bet your shafts are breaking because youve bent the crap out of your axle housing.
