can anyone tell me if the block on a 2000 TJ with 4L distributorless is the same block as any other jeep 4L block.

should be the exact same as any 00-06 4.0L in TJ's, XJ's and WJ's

What Waggy said. Prior to that, as in 99 and down, there are changes to the water pump, water pump pulley, and alternator mounting boses and serpentine system.

The Cam Position Sensor (where the distributor used to be, on top of the oil pump drive assembly) is different...not sure what years.

I know 03 is different from 05-06.

03 sends a single position pulse with a ring and a sensor, 05-06 has some crazy setup that sends more position pulses I believe.

Not sure if 01 - 05 are all the same, I don't believe they are.

Edit:  I'm a moron, you're asking about the block, my bad.  Guessing you'll use the same computer / CamPS as you had before.
