Just arrived on the lot (tower),.. only have 1, but more are on order.
I know its not your serious 4x4
But for a small city grocery getter that is 4x4(awd), I think it's cute!
It's a mini-me version of the new grand cherokee.
(this one is only fwd,.. the others on order are 4wd)

What are they worth Jay?
-
I.....like it! wierd.

What are they worth Jay?
That one has a 25.8k sticker on it
I know chrysler has a small incentive on these
The others that are ordered don't have prices in the computer yet.

Over/under on the number of 2011 GC owners fumed this looks identical except on a smaller scale?
Looks good though :)
-
It looks like a squashed down version of the Grands, but it is an improvement over the last body style
-
Kinda strange how the wheels would need at least 1.5" spacers to be flush with the edge of the fender, it makes it look kinda top-heavy and awkward. Could just be the photos though. The front end treatment is a huge improvement, I hope they do something similar for the Patriot.
-
I'll post up pics of a Grand cherokee overland,.. raised and lowered next week!
Did you know,.. the new grand cherokees body is based on the mercedes M class and the new durango is based on the G class
Can't wait till the New dodge durangos show up!

Please don't post any more pics of FWD "Jeeps", it makes me cringe. Its bad enough that it has IFS and can be sold with no low range but FWD is just too much. They should have just left it as a Caliber.
-
Ok, But only if i can photoshop you in a fwd patriot, lol,.... J/k. :)
-
Make it 4wd with the Freedom II drive which has low range and you've got a deal. I've got a tiny soft spot for Patriots as they look like what a XJ might be if still made. Although its still got IFS and I HATE the name, too Americain-ish. I'd bet they would seel a lot more up here if they had called it something else.

X2 ..please no more pics of dodge caravans with a 7 slot grille...thats just embarassing.
Btw, the owner of Chrysler Corp, known as Diamler AG, owns Mercedes also...so they obviously found a useable platform and swapped some parts and badging. Diamler also owns Freightliner, too bad they dont swap some diesel engine tech, and HD parts into thier next Jeep/minivan abortion.

No longer true big fella!!!! FIAT is parent company of Chrysler now :o
-
SO what you're saying is that pretty soon we'll see the Jeep Wranglero "Puttanesca Package" and the Jeep Cherokeeo "Marinara Modelo"?
-
Yup, daimler sold off chrysler years ago, but the existing plans ti use some daimlers platforms remain till 2013.
This is when we start seeing some fiat inspired vehicles.
From what ive found online, the wrangler (jk's) will remain unchanged and true to the original.
-
Yup, the Wrangler is the last true american Jeep. Currently everything else is based off a German platform.
Although people might bash Fiat a bit, their CEO has done really great things for Chrysler over the past year, really getting them back on their game, and he was trained in Canada too.Have you seen the cars they got now? Durango, Journey, 200, 300, Grand Cherokee.... goes on and on. Not to mention all the re-worked interiors.
So long as the Wrangler remains a Wrangler, I really don't mind seeing some Fiat based cars make their way here.
As for the new Compass? To be honest, if your someone with no interest in off-roading, but like the SUV image and utility.... you know, typical CUV customer, you can do much worse then the Compass. Will keep bringing in money for Chrysler so they can afford to keep the off-road Jeeps what they are.

I agree its a good run about, commuter. Was thiniing of one for myself at one time. Just not worthy of the Jeep name or slotted grill. Should have called it a Plymouth Compass.
