Just arrived on the lot (tower),.. only have 1, but more are on order.

I know its not your serious 4x4

But for a small city grocery getter that is 4x4(awd), I think it's cute!

It's a mini-me version of the new grand cherokee.

(this one is only fwd,.. the others on order are 4wd)

It looks like a squashed down version of the Grands, but it is an improvement over the last body style

Kinda strange how the wheels would need at least 1.5" spacers to be flush with the edge of the fender, it makes it look kinda top-heavy and awkward. Could just be the photos though. The front end treatment is a huge improvement, I hope they do something similar for the Patriot.

Did you know,.. the new grand cherokees body is based on the mercedes M class and the new durango is based on the G class

Can't wait till the New dodge durangos show up!

Please don't post any more pics of FWD "Jeeps", it makes me cringe. Its bad enough that it has IFS and can be sold with no low range but FWD is just too much. They should have just left it as a Caliber.

Make it 4wd with the Freedom II drive which has low range and you've got a deal. I've got a tiny soft spot for Patriots as they look like what a XJ might be if still made. Although its still got IFS and I HATE the name, too Americain-ish. I'd bet they would seel a lot more up here if they had called it something else.

Btw, the owner of Chrysler Corp, known as Diamler AG, owns Mercedes also...so they obviously found a useable platform and swapped some parts and badging.  Diamler also owns Freightliner, too bad they dont swap some diesel engine tech, and HD parts into thier next Jeep/minivan abortion.

Yup, daimler sold off chrysler years ago, but the existing plans ti use some daimlers platforms remain till 2013.

This is when we start seeing some fiat inspired vehicles.

From what ive found online, the wrangler (jk's) will remain unchanged and true to the original.
