Title: Removing Soft Top Skin
Post by: FirstTimer on July 18, 2011, 03:52:44 PM
I dropped by soft top off to get a new zipper put on the side window and the shop said they were unable to get the skin/shell off the skeleton/brackets. I was going to head over there in the a.m and was wondering if there is a special way to take the skin off and what tools I would need to do so?  Oh, and it is a factory Soft Top.

Much appreciated

I seem to recall a bunch of screws (phillips maybe?) along the header, and then some velcro holding it to the bars.

I'll check later tonight if no one else posts up!

Yup, that's all it is. Also, there are a couple of snaps. I just replaced the skin of my soft top. Takes all of 10 minutes to do.

So the screws on there should be phillips head?
