pats rebuilt your CV drive shaft not CV axle ..
what needs to be done .. CV shafts are pretty simple you probably can buy the parts at auto value and do it your self .. its just a rubber boot and 3 rollers that spin on a spider and a few snap rings in the assembly
google it im sure someone out there has a whole write up on it

I assumed the cv joint was on the driveshaft , now that I'm onboard, can't you buy a new shaft complete with the cv? If I remember from college they aren't too expensive.

you could but NO ONE has a cross reference for the CV joint. Its my wifes skyline. i have tried every internet resource and no one has it. i will pull it out, count the splines inner and outer and check the length at full compression. And hope Napa has the part.

How crazy is that? i have actually been speaking with Joe. He got me the boots which i picked up today from him and i will bring him the joint in the a.m. to see if we can do anything. i can get a new one for $800! Gulp.

Hopefully, they can help me ...err...my wife out.
Joe's Skyline is the nicest one i have ever seen. Clean, not over he top gaudy and just plain SIK!

Ya it's petty sweet. To bad he doesn't drive it like it was built
That car puts down serious HP. But I think he's worried abou hurting it
-
Yep, when you have NOS in the back of a Skyline, you know it lays down some serious numbers :o

hell ya its damn nice ..

my brother just finished building his RB25 240 .. well its never finished but engine is in and it runs 12's on the 1/4 mile not tuned
so im sure he can take at least another second or 2 off that with a new computer and some dyno time
