Wow, wow, wow. To much information over load for talking on a squak box. I'm out of this debate.
All I know is what I started using about 25 years ago. I bought a CB in a box with a bracket, spring, whip antennae. Followed all the instructions for mounting everything. Turned it on. I listened to people chat. I responded to people chatting. All worked great for me. I recommned what has worked for me. I never tried to improve what was working good all this time.
