Soft Top Woes
« on: June 16, 2010, 09:44:54 PM »
So I thought I had sourced most of the missing parts that I needed for my soft top, but it turns out (after checking out http://www.jeep4x4center.com/mopar/jeep-wrangler-tj/softtop-hardware.htm) I'm missing a lot more.

What I have:
- Door surrounds / frames (manage to source the hand screws that mount them to the roll cage)
- Rear window, tailgate bar and screws for mounting it.
- I've sourced the rear side windows, picking them up sometime this week
- Tailgate clips
- Roll bar bracket / clip things that the frame snaps into.
- Soft top, and I'm talking just the canvas.

Missing:
- the whole metal piping frame (which is actually a couple different pieces)
- the front latches
- other misc parts?

As per pictures:
- Rear Window + Tailgate Bar
- Door Surrounds
- Soft Top

Is it worth me trying to source the other parts, or should I just look into one of the whole best top kits that comes with all the hardware?

Edit:  Considering the safari top, wrap around windjammer, and deck cover....but I think some of that requires you to have parts of the original soft top hardware, I'm not sure.
