Removing the Driveshafts

so I've removed the 4 - 5/16 screws adn the little bridges but whats the trick to getting it uncoupled?
Do i just need to stop being a pussy and give it a good wack?

Also will the front driveshaft behave the same way? (ie unattach the front then pull it out of the tranny?

just use a prybar to pry it loose, it shouldnt take much force to pry the joint.

The front shaft has 4 x 8mm bolts at the transfercase end as well

Yes, but not directly on the hollow shaft as you could dent it.  Pry bar would be best as already mentioned.

Or you could go for a short drive, that should seperate it for you.

ha yeah I picked up a prybar tonight, gonna go play with it tomorrow again,

just in case you didnt already...block the front and rear tires..once the driveshaft is pulled it will roll...even over you...lol
