TJ Track Bar Bushings

Just picked up the used track bar from "firsttimer".. thanks, Kyle.  It's a stock bar from his 02 TJ, I might as well change the bushings and tie rod looking end to keep things tight, when I put it in my 05.  Who sells the parts and has a press to remove and install the bushings etc...?

you can't change bushings/balljoint. 
if its sloppy ya gotta live with it.

gotta buy a new one.   so you might as well go aftermarket.

Bushing is changable. Needs persuasion. Balljoint end, not so much.
Moog has a bushing, I don't have a part number handy tho.
Stock bushing is one piece. Moog is a two piece.

I thought the bushing end could be replaced, but was not sure about the balljoint end.  The rubber boot on the balljoint is a bit ripped....  crap...

ya man. i know the balljoints not replaceable.

i think you can replace the bushing, but you need a press. its a pain.  its just easier to buy a new one...............

It was probably pried off using a large hammer and pickle fork 
If the joint doesn't have slop in it it should be fine, but it probably won't last too long.

I did my best not to wreck it...    and Worked with what I had... For what it's worth it was free and technically it is still useable, you will just have to grease it on a more consistent bases.

The bushing end is replaceable. No need for a press. If you have a propane torch and a vice it will help
Replacement bushings cost about $15-20. Modern Motors sells both the Energy Suspension and Moog variants, those are the one's I'd recommend.

just run it for now.  don't bother with the bushing.  a new track bar is under 100$ at autovalue anyways.  if you're keeping it stock it'll probably be fine for a while.

then when you get deathwobble one day, you'll know to change it!

Hey Kyle,  I can't Thank You Enough for what you did to get me this track bar.....  I just thought it made sense to put new ends on it before I installed it.   I mean no offence at all.   Thanks to all of you for you help and advice.....  Scott
