I put a new rad in, new thermostat too as I had a rad leak. Now I've got heat but it,s not very hot?
its the 4litre engine any ideas?
?the thermostat I put in is a higher temp one so it should blast out real hot but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Yeah, sounds like you have air in the system. Take the rad cap off with the engine cold, start up and run it till its hot, with the heat on high. Should hopefully circle the coolant through the system and push the air to the top of the rad... Of course if your heater core hoses are higher than your rad cap then the air will go to the highest point.. but this is most likely whats happening. Unless your thermostat went in upside down... in which case its not flowing any coolant

I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers
Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...

I have the same issue, little heat on low settings but on high it's cold air almost. My friend suggested it's the heater core needing to be replaced? Could that be the issue, -20 sucks driving to work in the morning

yup it was suggested that i run C.L..R. thru the heater core and c if that helps if its not an air block issue hmmmm may be both when i flushed out the system it was full of discolored crap and sediment I flushed the heater core out both ways and it was better but I guess it could still be crappy and semi plugged inside any one/ have a heater core?
