issues with lowering tranny skid plate
« on: April 20, 2013, 04:43:56 PM »
I just put a slightly used 2" suspension lift into my TJ, and it came with skid plate spacers so I used them.
The height difference is causing an issue with my 4x4 shifter, I put it into 4L to tighten the front driveshaft bolts and it slipped into neutral a few times on me.  The shifter handle doesn't seem to be pulling up high enough to engage properly.
Is there a fix for this?  Is it easier to just pull the spacers back out and see if I have any vibration?

Thanks,
Mike

drive the jeep with out the plate drop first if u get vibes then intall  the drop, as for your problem the 4x4 shifter has a linkage that you can adjust, I think it is a 10mm bolt that u loosen I got a 3.5 inch lift with no TC drop and I get 0 vibes other then my mt tires
