Gear pattern check

Doing the set up on my 14 bolt for the Jeepster.   0.006 backlash



How's it look? I think in pretty damn close
1967 C101 - in 1,000,000 pieces
1973 C104 - in 2,000,000 pieces

Need to see the backside. Driveside looks decent.

You can try going a few though either way to see if the contact will broaden out a bit. I suspect if you pull 2-4 thou out it will.

But if the backside looks good, the above pattern is definitely acceptable.

Here's the coast side. I have the smallest pinion shim in I have at 0.010. Next size it 0.014 and its to much.
1967 C101 - in 1,000,000 pieces
1973 C104 - in 2,000,000 pieces

If you've already tried the 14 and it goes bad than it looks like you are there.
