04 tj air condtioner

As promised, I had a look... no label that I could find anywhere, but the FSM has the answer (hidden inside text of course).

The Standard Procedure - Refrigerant Recovery is on P 24.51
The Standard Procedure - Refrigerant System Evacuate is on the same page
The Standard Procedure- Refrigerant System Charge is on P 24.52

Hmm, they do say the capacity is on the underhood HVAC tag, but I only found an emissions tag... let me have a closer look!  I wonder if I somehow washed it off during one of my engine washes...

On the Rubicon Owners Forum, I found a post for an '03 Rubi and an '05 Rubi Unlimited and both were 1.25 Lbs from evacuated (0PSIA).

Now I'm thinking the label may have "disappeared" when I had some collision damage repaired.

if they are any good they can charge it by pressures.... probably only a 1.25 pounds or so.

Thank you all for the info the Tj is charged once again just have to work all the bugs out of it....the mechanic says needs tune up  now hee hee  it will never go back to Canmore Chrysler for work....
