XJ ubolts
« on: June 22, 2009, 12:25:19 PM »
hi all, buddy's pickin up a lift for his XJ, just wondering what ubolts he needs for the rear. he has the D44 axle. are the ubolts teh same as the 8.25 (3") or is it closer to the D35 (2.75")
so i guess, if he were to order a lift kit that did not have a D44 option, what ubolts would work best? thanks

The d44 is the bigger of the axle tubes. I know the 8.25 is 3" inside not forsure about d44.I can try to take a measurement when I get a chance.

I'm runnin a 8.25 but have a d44 waitin to bolt into somethin! Aha

Ya I tried to measure the tube and it looked like about 2-7/8.kinds hard to measur though.
The inside measuremnt of an old d35 ubolt I had lying around was def smaller than 2.75.

bah.  GFs don't need D44s ;)   (actually your might with that lead foot of hers ;) )   lol

well the kit comes with either a 3" or a 2.75" either way it comes with u bolt so figure, which 'could' work better. worst case scenario we get some made, no biggie.  but what do you think?
