Machine shop recommendations
« on: June 07, 2010, 09:17:29 PM »
Almost have the heads off the dodge, Can anyone recommend a good, but fairly inexpensive machine shop to have the heads tested for cracks and warpage? maybe even have them cleaned up a bit?

how much would this typically run? I'm on a tight budget.

Thanks in advance!!

Ian

You may want to check with Cetus Automotive as their machine shop was blowing old inventory out the door cheap. I believe they wer $50 per head and I think they are rebuilt. They may have Dodge heads still.
If you want to run with the big dogs you have to be able to pee in the tall grass.

I talked to them. They didn't have any 360 heads left.

PM on here The Machinist.

He owns his own shop doing head work and has done a couple jobs for me(a Cummins diesel and a subaru). Good work, good price.
