Personally I do not believe every one should be entitled to vote.

I cant imagine many companies would survive if the employees got together and voted on who their bosses were going to be.

I also believe that the current leaders purposely do not provide more than basic points to focus on to make them selves more popular and do not provide voters the "otherside" of their plans. I could build a campaign on dropping the GST, I would be popular for this, what I wouldn't tell the people is that the money is coming from elsewhere.

If it was a system with a minimum education and/or income level that did the voting I would support that as I believe the vast majority of people who vote do not clearly understand what the issues are, It also needs to be a system that holds the elected leader accountable to deliver on his mandates on time and allowed him to only stay in office if his performance warrants it.

Will I vote in this election...... I don't know.
Never liked the Liberals and the fact that they couldn't stick to a plan to bring down a minority government or that they spend more time talking about spending issues and corruption while ignoring their past makes me wonder.

Layton, Personally I like him and some of his Ideas I agree with, I just can't imagine it would work.

Harper, I actually think he has done ok coming out of the whole 9/11 changes to the world, a recession and only having a minority government would be a challenge for any party, I just don't like the lack of intelligent information from his party.

I would actually hope for a slim liberal minority win and have the Cons and NDP form government, Harper leading with Layton in his ear.

Actually the whole system is whacked, for instance, last election the Bloc Quebecois got 1.3 million votes, the Green Party got 947,000. Bloc Quebecois has 44 MP's, the Green Party...1. How is this DEMOCRATIC? ???
In 2009, Albertans paid $40.46 billion in income, corporate and other taxes to the federal government and received back just $19.35 billion in services and goods from the feds. That means the rest of Canada got $21.1 billion from Albertans or $5,742 for each and every Alberta man, woman and child. In 2007 (the last year national figures are available), Alberta sent a net contribution of $19.49 billion to the ROC or $5,553 per Albertan -- more than three times what every Ontarian contributes at $1,757. Quebecers, on the other hand, each received $627 net or a total of $8 billion, money which was designed to help "equalize" social programs
across the country. Except, that's not what is happening. Quebec has more generous social programs like (nearly) free university tuition (paid for
mostly by Albertans) and cheap provincial day care (paid for mostly by Albertans). >:(
I wouold sure like to see them make it a level playing field, ie: 1 person, 1 vote.
Yes I voted today, as everyone should, but the system really needs to change. :)
