HELP: Swaybar linkage removal
« on: August 24, 2014, 10:25:54 AM »
Ok, I must be missing something...

Trying to replace my stock swaybar linkages with JKS Quick Disconnects.
Have the linkages disconnected at the wheel side - and removed the nut from the top of the swaybar....
and yet, the linkage is still solidly connected to the swaybar (even after being whacked with a "persuader" a couple times)

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason

Hey Jason, those links need a little more love from a hammer. They mount through the sway bar like a tie rod end, it's a tapered fit so they don't come loose.

Invert the swaybar so its out front. Pull up on the linke while hitting the end of the swaybar with a hammer. Dont hit the link. Hit the swaybar. Right on the end. Several times. Hard. It will pop free.
