If i buy a warn winch, but I have a smittybilt winch plate do I need a new one of those too?

Mounting plate??.......Drill mounting holes, weld old holes closed, etc.

4.5”x10” seems to be a fairly common/popular mounting spec. Even matches my old CPE POS.
 As far as I can tell it should be the same as your XRC... of course it depends on which Warn winch you’re considering. They don’t all mount the same.
