funny. I heard a story today on the CBC. There is a class action lawsuit filed by a Newfoundland couple against the Big 5 auto makers.

They are claiming discrimination. Refusing a sale to anyone based on their nationality or country of origin is a severely discriminatory practice. I think they've got a hell of a case.

They are looking for anyone that has been refused a sale in the US because you are Canadian.

Yep, we bailed them out a few times, and PM Cretian gave unsolicited major contracts to them.

A good friend of mine just drove down to Roanoke Illinois (south of Chicago, not sure about spelling?) and picked up a '07 Dodge Cummins Dually.  Saved a bundle, he said the dealer loves selling to Canadians.  He's gonna get his wife a new Nitro, and the dealer will set up delivery (to your driveway) and customs paperwork for an exra $1500 on top of sticker price.

Not sure about the warranty issues, but saving SEVERAL thousand dollars on a new vehicle will surely offset some warranty repair issues if you have to pay for them.

Canadian auto dealers better start sharpening their pencils or they won't sell anything.  On another note, buy your stuff from Zellers, they have already lowered their prices to reflect our healthy dollar.

One of our driveaway services was talking to the customs agent at the border and they have gone from 20 a day to over 200 vehicles. That's big and with companies advertising to import for you it will get bigger.
