When I was out there last weekend I couldn't believe the mess the logging companys leave. They totally rip up the forest, take the big trees and leave all the small trees and brush just lying on the ground. They don't clean nothing up .
They leave behind the brush on purpose, It helps renew the forest, the brush rots and helps regenerate the soil and helps the new trees's grow.
I live in a house built out of wood, as do most off us, the logs have to come from somewhere,
Spray lake sawmills have been very co-operative with the off road community, leaving trails alone for us, leaving bridges behind in the areas they are done logging, and they have helped our cause in other ways as well.
This is the last year that there will be logging at maclean creek. They are moving up to the ghost/waiparous area due to the pine beetle
I am getting fed up off people bad mouthing the logging and oil and gas industries, They are the reason we have such a great economy in Alberta, they are the reason good paying jobs are easy to find here.
We have got a lot of positive press this year from the media from the clean-up in Indian Graves and the various projects at Maclean and Waiparous. In previous years there has been negative press that IS changing
The problem is not the logging industry. It is not the members from groups like the CJA, Fourwheel Stampders, Quad squad,RMDRA etc.
The problem IS the redneck party crowd, the grad party's, the lowlifes that steal vehicles from the city and bring to the off road areas to destroy and burn.
Is Maclean going to shut down?? I'd bet my last dollar that if we see all the buttheads that caused the destruction last May long at Indian Graves come to Maclean this next may long and cause the same damage it will take the goverment about 3 seconds to shut it down.
Let's focus on the problem. We need to let the party crowd know they are not welcome at maclean, If they want to steal and burn cars do it in the city, If they want to get drunk and do drugs untill they nearly kill themsleves, do it at home,
Rant over,
for now
