Show and Shine?

Just curious if anyone has ever taken their Truck down to the Show and Shine on McLeod trail Home Depot Parking lot across from Chinook Mall on Wednesday nights...?

I thought that maybe if we had some presence at shows like that we can talk with other motorsport enthusiasts trying to dispel some of the images that the news so kindly puts out every year on long weekends and such. I think now that Race City is Closed for good they can appreciate our issues with closures of trails. Basically we are all in the same boat!

Now if people do decide to show on a Wednesday night, make sure that we represent ourselves properly, Clean rigs, safety gear, anything to ditch the old mentality.

there has been a few 4x4's when i go down but mostly just street queens with there bling bling paint/wheels and such.. i think this is an awesome idea tho jenssen to show that there are responsible wheelers out there and this would be a good way to show it

Good idea.  There is a big, classic car Show & Shine in High River this Sunday, September 28.  I put my Jeep in it last year and ended up beside a 70's-ish Bronco on 40's.  There's more than classics so anyone with a descent vehicle can put their ride in, I recommend going.   I like the idea of "mixed" show and shines because people can actually see vehicles up close, speak with the owner/builder, and hopefully gain a new appreciation for a type of vehicle they may have previously not have been able to fully appreciate.  I'll go to more  S&S's once I have a worthy Jeep.
