pulling during braking

The Cherokee started doing something funny this weekend. When ever I have to hit the brakes harder then a slow stop, it pulls hard to the left. I have bled the brakes agene but it was good. Gust wondering if anyone has experienced this, or is it time for a brake job.

Same was happening to me, just before you guys came up for your sliders. You know my buddy Mark(ert01) the one I call the XJ guru, the one you met on Sunday--well he took my wheel off and figured that the shop that put my new shoes in didn't fiddle with the adjuster thingy(pretty technical hey?) Anyhow, it is better. But is mark sees this, he will probably try to make sense of what i am saying, as he is the XJ GURU!!!!

Siezed caliper maybe ?did you check the brake pads ?
Might be obvious in the wear pattern if inner or outer pad is worn alot more then the other, and/or wear on the rotor too.

I have not pulled them apart yet, The apartment doesn't like me taring into something in the parking lot.
I was looking for some ideas, before i pull it apart.

check both front calipers or sliders on both front calipers. if you hit the brake and you go left then just the left brake is working. thus an issue at the right front, which is either sliders or caliper. and this happens a lot cause we like to play in the mud. lube your sliders kids!

Antiseize like it is going out of style

Also if you caliper is seizing you will probably have a lot of heat build up in the hub and wheel

Sounds similar to what my jeep did this summer. It did it intermittently for a few days and then the caliper seized up and cooked the front break.

If you play in the mud then your calipers or adjusters sieze up. Most calipers are around 50 to 100 bucks and include new sliders. Its a regular maintenance item. And on the rear the adjusters quit working so every now and then jack up the rear and adjust them to till they just start to drag.

No.  I just changed them about 2 months ago and lubed the snot out of them then, but it is probably time to do it agene.

It will only pull if I have to hard brake when I am going over 70 km and at 120km it is scary. Like when I found this issue
