ZJ - 245/75/16 Moab rims on GC with Up Country results.
« on: October 21, 2008, 08:33:51 AM »
Hi all,

I’ve noticed allot of owners with the Up Country suspension questioning tire fitment on their GC’s. I am happy to report that I have added the Moab rims to my GC with no rubbing, no trim what so ever. I think this is a huge improvement for the ZJ. I’m more then happy with the end results. This truck has over 350K kilometers, history of the springs unknown, so I don’t know how much sag there is to begin with, but it sure sits prettier then stock. Now for appearance n clearance, I would like to see 1.5” – 2” more but that will come. Pic’s to follow later.

Thanks!

P.S.
A huge Thank you to redrubi for helping me out on this one!!! Thanks!! ;D ;D :) ;D ;D

Here are some pics...
I'm doing this for all of those that had in question the ~.75" difference..

Just need to research on how to fit the spare & add a little more hight.

Cheers!

Yes, they are 31's, from the looks of it.

No rubbing, but how about at full turn? That's the only issue most people have.

you can fit a 33 x 12.5 in the stock location of the spare... just have to bend up a piece of the threaded rod that is longer that the stock hold down and it will fit nicely between the rear seat and the hatch with no issues.... so a 31"....no problem!

Thanks guys!
No rubbing issue's at all... I can turn full lock left to right without any rubbing.. ;) & yes, they are a 31 so they say.
Found out a little more on the spare tire, thanks for the reply on that. Just neen some 10mm threaded pieces to join to stock set-up & I'm set.
Cheers guys!
