my new rig: 91 YJ on 36s
« on: October 26, 2008, 04:56:08 PM »
well for those of you that know, i recently purchased Mark 93YJ's old 91 YJ off of him.  i wasn't looking for a vehicle at the time, but figured why not?  jeep already had ARB lockers, 4:56 gears, and a rear 8.8 with discs swapped in. looked like a solid build project.  so i picked it up.  only real issue i had with it was suspension. rode really rough.  other than that this thing was solid. no leaks and well taken care of. so i would address the suspension; so i swapped it out for rubicon express springs/shackles/shocks, and it rides really nice now.  turns out the shackles were really tight and probably why it rode so stiff. however its goin good now.  tires are 36" bias ply iroks. i love em!  only things i am going to address now are going to be steering as its a little sloppy, and cage it, and maybe some rocker protection. anyways, PICS!

the day i picked it up, thanks to my buddy phill for pickin it up in his duramax

before i picked it up.  has 33s on it in this pic, but i got it with lil' 30s on it.

now done with the Rubicon express lift and some Iroks

i still haven't wheeled it, but hopefully that will change either next week

Lookin' sweet, especially outta the garage. and those gambler rims look sweet on my TJ...
to build, or not to build... THAT is the question. I think I need to sell 1 or 2 before I really decide...

Sweet rig John.
if we were smart with our money we wouldn't own Jeeps.
Here's your cup of STFU... ENJOY!

The TJ flares look pretty good on a YJ.
I'd rather be dragging a club than clubbing in drag
