Whatever happened to Steve Jueco and the HEMI Jeep?
« on: December 13, 2008, 05:09:34 PM »
I saw him at a shop in Crossfield a couple of years ago and haven't a word about him since.
The Jeep had the Hemi with D60's F&R, 44's, stretched WB etc.

Anybody know what's up with him and the Jeep?

I remember it, but I haven't heard a thing about it or seen anything anywhere in a long time.....
`48 CJ2A, `54 CJ3B, `97 TJ, and 03 WJ...batting close to .500 when it comes to jeep models owned vs. jeep models created.....

He had problems? I did hear they found out the engine was waterlogged when they tried to fire it up but other than that nothing.

What kind of problems? Evo did the suspension and it looked pretty good considering what he was trying to achieve (44's on a TJ)

The peoples Jeep...

From what I heard...after a costly rebuild because of the hydro-lock issue, it would start but would not keep running.  All the kings horses and all the kings men could not get the thing to run.  Assorted back yard mechanics and it was rumored one dealership gave it a try and it would fire but not keep running.  Possibly the initial shop that did the install was in a little over their head with the hemi transplant.  Which is another story...but I can not relay it as Jeep God has not spoken to me in several years because of his belief that I had revealed certain details of resulting legal issues on a local web site.  Not entirely a bad thing...mind you.

So...it sat in the weeds for several seasons.  The 17th ave starbucks and many a Calgary high schools all wondering what had happened to the Jeep God.

Good to hear Modern has taken on the project.  Hopefully they are working on a cash and carry policy.  ;)

I still luv you jEEP gOd!!!
