« on: January 05, 2009, 10:40:54 PM »
Hey guys, need some advice here.  A buddy of mine has a 2005 rubi unlimited that he wants to sell me for 15,000.  It is in good condition with low kms.  Good deal?

My dad bought an 05 unlimited rubi a couple years ago for about $23K I think and that was a good deal at the time because regular rubis were going for that price.  I would take a look at the autotrader and see what they are listed for.

Well the fargin binder has a bunch in the Edmonton area at dealers from 19,000 to 24,0000.  So I guess at 15,000 i should be OK.  Do these ride better than the stock tj?  I have not ridden in it yet and I am trying to ease the wife's concerns about the ride......

The fact its a Rubi doesn't change the ride quality... the fact its unlimited will.  Longer wheelbase might smooth things out a bit... but its still a jeep

The ride is 100 X better in my dad's unlimited, even though it is lifted, than my YJ, and I think it is better that his '00 XJ as well.  As fug mentioned, the big difference is in the wheelbase
