Radiators

I am looking at getting a heavy duty radiator for my YJ and I was looking at getting one of these from Extreme Radiator

Would there be any problems going with the thicker radiator like running too cold in the winter?  I have no plans to go to a v8 or put a stroker in my Jeep.  Any other suggestions?

Thats about what I paid for my radiator locally (Lethbridge).  From what I recall there is no difference, or at least minimal, in exterior dimension between a 2 and 3 row rad.  Just smaller rows in a 3 row.

I looked into this site as well when mine blew up, however they do not ship outside the US 

If you are looking for a replacement, try Bowness Autoparts. (the best deal for us locals)  Came to $188 for my TJ.

They will ship outside the US but you have to call them directly.

The thermostat regulates water flow through the radiator so with a more efficient rad I would expect the engine to come to temp... open the thermostat and then have it close down if the temp drops again quickly.  I just don't see how a bigger/more efficient radiator could make things too cold with a properly operating thermostat

Yeah that is true and kind of what I was thinking, and I also have a high flow thermostat, but I just wanted to make sure

Bingo! give the man a cookie.

If you have a properly operating thermostat you can have a rad off a dozer and still make heat.
In my opinion, get the biggest rad you can.
