Finally getting going on Denise's build. For those that dont know, Denise is Mrs Bnine. She goes by Spyder on the board.
Previously it was built with a RK long arm, 33 eng tuck, kilby tank, AR's front and rear, super 35/30 arbs, 488,s currie steering, outboard shocks, WE beadlocks, and 33" toyos.
This jeep worked really well, and lasted this way for about 4 years, and a handfull of competitions before it finally started to break axle components.
So we decided it was time for the 35 to go. She wanted 35's next, to help her keep up better in the comps. In 2 straight comps, she was always the only person to be on 33's.
Being a 2.5 litre, 35's create headaches, unless its a trail only rig. We needed more gearing so she can still drive to trail runs.
Only being on 35's, we didnt want to kill all the clearence by installing anything bigger then a 44. Since I also run spidertrax 609's, they became the obvious choice. 538 gears for the wee motor, lightweight for the little motor, and the same amount of clearence she had previously on the d35.
Not to mention we will share the same parts, which is just good business when maintaining and wheeling two jeeps.
The jeep in its previous state.
Right now we are in the nasty stage of the build. Grind grind grind.
Removed old poly p shock brackets. I will plate these in and build hoops for her Fox 2" x 12" coil overs.
Front stock bracket removed. These are fun, not as fun as the big dumb stupid trackbar mount, but lots dust sucking ear wrenching fun none the less.
I gotten started on building her axles. Here is the rear. Just brackets and axle shafts to go.
The tire and rim combo are a Poison spider 18" beadlock with 35" toyo's.
The final build will be 609's front and rear on 12" coilovers, a small stretch out back (2-3") with a genrite tank, an atlas 5:1 and PSC hydro assist.
I'll try to update this as much as possible.
