This is why it is preferable to use a winch instead of massive amounts of momentum on a tow strap to pull things out.

I'm not convinced they were attached to the axle tho, as if you notice, they were hooked to the right front and the right front of the axle ended up near the left rear. I think the right front was so stuck that when they yanked, it remained stuck and was ripped off and rearward by the mud.

Something to be said for smaller straps that break before the Jeep does!

Upgrade time!

You are right....the force of yanking the body forward from the towhook left the axle behind in the muck!  If it was hooked to the axle it woulda been pulled out and sitting in front of the XJ... Either way, that would suck! :o
'91 XJ - 3" procrap - cutout for 33" MT's  - More and more dents every run...Sold.
'98 XJ - Lifted, locked and lovin' it

If you take a look at the next vid, they tried it from the back and it wouldn't work. Not much you could do with that, at least go with both hooks on the bumper and pull straight :)

Except for the guys that tied a tow rope onto the sport cage of a YJ and tried to pull it out of the mud sideways...
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

Thats a new way to make a low ridder.  Love the custom wheel tucking capabilities.
