Once mine is up and lifted, I shake the crap outta it.  At 160lb, I'm not big enough to pull it off the stands, but I can shake it around enough to be safe that it will stay put.  If it stays, I crawl under happy as a lark.

ton = 2240 lbs, right?
tonnes = 1000 kg, right?

The 2,240 lbs is a long ton or UK ton, tonne or metric ton = 1,000 kg or 2,200 lbs, and short ton or ton = 2,000 lbs.

Sorry for the hijack

the 2 jack stand will be more than enough to support the rear of the jeep

Thanks , I didnt feel like getting crushed :)

i had a dream last night about being crushed while changing my oil...  i turned on my shoulder, and apparently held my truck up...  and screamed like a girl.  off topic, but made me flash back to that dream.
