My daily driver has 350K on it.  Other than the cracked exhaust manifold... it runs great.

Tell me again why they got rid of the 4.0 for the 3.8 in the JK's  :(
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

Took it in for an oil change and fluids for spring, guy at the shop says he see's tons of these things with over 300k. I assume that if they hit the junk yards, its not the engines fault in most cases.  8) Makes me think about the arguments of imports like toyota that have 400+ km being so "reliable", jeeps get that and cost half as much to buy, maintain and fix!

I expect the life of the 4.0L to be around 750,000km or so.  At least that's what the last one I had in the shop had on it.  It had low compression

Yeah, it was, and Mick was really good to deal with.  Excellent guy.  That Chev he has, it has a 454 in it if anyone is looking for a big engine...

That manche is excellent....it's an Eliminator, 1990, 6 cyl of course, Toyo Open Country AT's in decent shape, nice interior with COMFY buckets, Pioneer stereo (needs speakers though)....and I think it is faster off the line than my wife's '03 Jetta TDI. If I lay onto it I usually shift into third roughly around 110km/hr.....

BTW, if anyone has seen this on Kijiji:

http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-classic-cars-1952-Willys-Jeep-W0QQAdIdZ112073501

It was almost next door to this Comanche.  I passed it on the way by.....really rough looking.

well theire a reason the old jeeps and toy keep going. its the striagth engines. the 58 willies has the original engine. i did points and plugs and oil, added new fule and a new batteriey, and it fired right up after i found the miising ground on the block. i like straight engines!! now if i could find a strqaight 8 or even 10!!!
