4.2L bell housing Questions
« on: May 01, 2009, 08:58:39 PM »
Does anyone know if there is supposed to be dowel pins in the bell housing to engine block? I any doing the clutch in mine and I noticed that the pilot bushing is very badly worn and I think there is some dowel pins missing between the bell and block. I believe that this is causing the vibration when releasing the clutch pedal. I want to help solve this problem.

There definitely are supposed to be dowels in the bottom 2 bolt holes. They are actually more like pipes as the bolts pass though them. This will cause a vibration in the clutch.
If you want to run with the big dogs you have to be able to pee in the tall grass.
