Some one injured my comanche on purpose! Why Calgary Why
« on: May 08, 2009, 11:07:30 PM »
So ya this is what happens to your truck on a friday when the Theater is packed and only one parking spot is left (a mile from the theater too).  The suv on your drivers side is partially in the open spot the massive tuck that other side is on the line.  You think to your self know good will come of this... but then you remeber your meeting your dream girl in the theater line, she has just called you to see how much longer you will be..... you pull in and allow yourself just enough room to get out.... you step out survey the situation one more time and contemplate moving but whats that your phone is buzzing again.............mistake made :(

OMG what is wrong with this  individual!  The person who did this damage must of had a peanut gallery (or girlfriend to impress). They had to purposely back their truck out, get out and kick my truck door to cause this much damage (no paint from their rig just scrapes from a shoe). So if you hear a "person" bragging about how they smashed in a door at the Shawnacy theater I give you full authority to sack them ;) This is just the kinda act this jerk would take pride in bragging about! By the way they drive a BLUE 2500 4 door GM 2005-2008 tuck... and your lucky I never wrote your license down figured a dude in a nice truck like that would have some sense.

I'm feeling like a sad panda right now "cry"

Well i like to keep my truck clean and shiny (as you can see above) now i got a caved door to show off... "cry"   This city is realy starting to hurt my Calgarian pride.  Honestly what do i have to be prowd of my dads truck was broken into 3 times at fish creek, houses in my nabour hood are regularly egged, tail gates of all things have been lifted to the list of steft and vandalizm just goes and goes...  This too much I've been here 14 years and its just getting worse I give up I wish i could move to a small quite place away from here.   Well that enough complaining from me, i know lots of people who have had it worse off

Comments and opinions are welcome

I grew up in Cochrane, moved to Calgary and rented there for 4 yrs while going to school. When it was time to buy we bought it Cochrane. Ya it ain't no small town anymore but it sure isn't the city either!

We also went to the movies last night, saw the new Star Trek movie(AWESOME!), theatre was only half full so we had lots of parking, parked at the far row and had no one on either side.

I think some of the blame goes to the theatre owners for not making the stalls large enough. I've noticed in cochrane the stalls are larger. Probably cause half of us drive duallys.....

Pop the inner panel off and give it a kick from the inside.  ;)

Or if you want to fix it properly, send me a PM.  Kicking it or pushing on the wrong spot from the inside could only make it worse.

I've used a baskeball before. Remove inner panel, put deflated ball in, brace in place, and fill till the dent comes out.

I think I may be able to pull some of it out with the plunger technique lol (this basket ball idea sounds pretty crafty).  However it messed up one of the "seam" lines on the top of the door.  Popped 4" length of paint off this seam :(.  But it would look better if the main part was poped back in.

Toyman I may take you up on this body work scares me.  I can weld a roll cage / frame but when it comes to sheet metal i got no "feel."  There is know point trying to go though insurance on a vehical this old.  I may just end up living with it until i can do the ground up resto i have been dreaming about.

As soon as I finnish my degree I'm going to find a nice spot out of the city (may even end up at Elkwood).

Hey Clay,  I did some work a the spray lakes saw mill in Cochrane one summer realy nice spot just out of Calgary.  And i kinda like the smell of freshly cut wood too.

Ya the cut wood smell is ok but but I could do with out the cholrine smell that wafts across town in the summer at nigh when they chemically treat the wood. I like looking at the mountains on my drive home too.  8)

Lucky you....we would have been here sooner, but it took almost an entire year to sell our house in Martindale...the market was brutal!

Where about's in Onateribble are you looking? That's where I'm born and raised! I've definitely had more problems in Ontario than I have Alberta, then again I've only been here for 9 months!
