so last night i was at "fug's discount jeep emporium" and ended up buying his 95 xj for my wife (apparently B nine's old jeep). when i had mine inspected i got totaly ripped off, i took it to "high country auto and propane" (just down the street from my work) and they charged me $180 for the inspection and they did not even do anything to it!

so i will need to have my wifes jeep inspected here soon and was wondering if anyone on here knows a cheap and decent place to get this done?

was the inspection an out of province or just a insurance inspection. 2 very different things.

You can also check Kijiji.  Find a certified mechanic to do it outta his garage.  Usually cheaper and just as decent if you get the right guy with references.

Then, go back to him for other repairs.  I found a guy up here in Eckville that way, and when I went out to see him, I realized it was the same guy who replaced the water pump and timing belt on our Jetta TDI. Got my inspection done and found us a diesel VW mechanic too.

More like a couple dozen... plus a garage full of parts.... but that may be all heresay.... :)

Thats my purpose in life... to be "that guy" ... so you all can say to your wife/gf as you bring another Jeep home... "I'm not as bad as that Fug... you should SEE his yard"

BTW... I just brought a 97 2 door XJ home on Friday... bahahahahahaha.

Actually it does... very well.  Needed some brakes... which I've already done.  I'll be driving it to work tomorrow :P

There used to be a mobile guy that used to work in and around Calgary,  was cheap and seemed to pass almost everything-I had an old CJ he passed a few times, as well as a Toyota PU that no one wanted to ride in, never mind safety.
