#1. You'll need a mounting plate. I have a JK, and putting winch on the front is not quite as easy as putting one on a TJ. You might also look at buying a bumper that is winch compatible instead of buying a winch plate, and then spending more money later to upgrade your bumper.
#2. I'd suggest a Warn winch. Not to slam others, but Warn is generally acknowledged as building a better product. I've seen some INSANE things done to Warn winches on the front of one ton trucks, and they just kept going...and going...and going...
#3. Brink is advertising a Warn 8274 in the "for sale" forum here. He says it hasn't seen much use, and while it's not as sleek as some other types, the 8274 is a bulletproof design. His asking price is well below half of what you would pay for a new 8274...and probably less than you would spend on a new winch that's not anywhere near as good.
