Rear Sway Bar
« on: October 25, 2009, 08:13:58 PM »
Hey Guys,

I'm getting ready to put a suspension lift in my TJ and I'm wondering if it's worth getting extended rear sway bar links or if I should ditch it all together.

get em made or buy extended.  there are many times on a trail where you won't want severe body roll :D

Ive run both my XJ's without a rear swaybar and its been fine....I find it would be way to restrictive for flex when on the trail. Extensions would probably help that a bit though and allow more droop....up to you!

XJ's have rear leafs. TJ's have rear coils. Not really an "apples to apples" comparison  ;)

I think Fiend is right. Extended links won't really break the bank either.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

keep them in  ... depends on how big your lift is you can keep the stock ones  or change them out for longer ..

i have after market on mine with 4 inches of lift

and my brother has stock with 3 inches ..

so im pretty sure 3.5 inchs you can run the stock ones stil
