McLean season ender: November 28
« on: November 07, 2009, 09:06:15 PM »
Yeah, I know it's really early, but I've got someone coming into town that weekend who's never been wheeling before, and I want to make sure there's a run that day so I can show her what's what about what.

Not a ridiculously long day... thinking TOTW or 101 reverse, depending on weather. Just a fun day... family and stocker friendly. Sunday (the 29th) is no good due to Grey Cup.

I'm in a a Nissan Pathfinder on 33s.

Top of the world might be a better bet than Fisher West backwards (it's not actually called the 101 trail). There are detours around the steep bits going up to top of the world if you come from the west side, and Fisher West might be interesting for folks with open diffs if there's been a bunch of snow or some freeze/thaw cycles.

Fisher East is actually a lot of fun at that time of year. All of the big holes have either dried up or frozen up, and you can get through them with no problems - even on small tires. It doesn't offer the views that top of the world does though.

Unfortunately I won't be running McLean again this year. I'll be overseas until December.  :(
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

I maybe in for Top of the World, I'll confirm later this month. We just did Fisher West Backwards (101 Backwards) just last week. I would not remember any stockers to try it, unless you have experience and lockers and winches.

On another note, believe it or not, I still haven't downloaded our pics from when we last went out. I'll try and get around to it, and I'll email you the pictures.

Im up for Fisher West backwards.  Or if Jeff wants to, we can run the trail that we did last year.

I am the same as Comanche Runner. If I can take the 28th off of work I will be there. Chances are slim but I am going to try.
