another power improvement is cuttuing out your cat (gonna get flack for that  ;D)  Some people say it doesn't work but i've noticed pretty decent improvements from doing it.  Cold air intake helps to.  I can light my cherokee on 31's up on dry pavement without popping the clutch.  ;)

If it seems like a good idea at the time it probably isn't!

In an older hi milage rig you may find the cat is plugged so it my need to be replaced. So you can cut it out then go looking for a replacement in the mean time just insert a piece of strait pipe to replace the cat.

Might as well leave the cat out and get a free flowing exhaust....every bit helps

^ This  is what I've decided to do.  Especially after going to the car show last weekend to see how expensive and uninteresting everything is.  Im really looking forward to learning how to do a lot of the smaller jobs myself.... Spending some quality time with the jeep.  I PM'd Jay to see what he would suggest for an inspection at his shop.  It will be nice to have some direction of where to go, and what I'll have to save for (Suspension is definitely top of the list).

It's pretty hard not to get too excited about it, especially after browsing the Build-ups section.  Waytec's 95 XJ "Grumpy" (before) looks exactly like my 96 XJ.

Thanks for all the replies, Im sure I will have many more questions to follow.
