Thanks for all the help guys!

I've got the hole up to the right size now, and it's installed on my heep. It's not a lot of fun doing an antenna install in a snowstorm when you don't have a garage  ???

I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

Todd, call me on my cell. I have a 5/8" steel bit. Plus I live close to you.

Hole is now sized, and install is done.

Now I just have to tune my CB for the new coax (and the 2 meter antenna that's now living next to my CB antenna) and run power for the Yaesu.

Turns out that swapping the coax, changing the CB antenna mount for a new (MUCH beefier 1/4" stainless one), moving the antenna 12 inches to the left, and adding my dual band antenna made absolutely NO difference to my CB SWR. After I dialed in my SWR meter, I was immediately at an SWR of 1.1 on channel 10 (where I tune)

Now I can start programming the various channels into the 8800. Unfortunately the cable that I picked up from NTF didn't come with the CD-rom for the software  :(
