Engine Swap Places
« on: December 19, 2009, 01:52:01 PM »
I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a place to get an engine swap done at a reasonable rate.
I have a friend in need with a 95YJ looking to put a new engine in it(already has one)
I think he is hoping to have someone do the swap and engine mounts? and then hopefully do the rest of the work himself.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Any help would be appreciated.

If its a larger displacement engine there's a little more than just engine mounts.
-rad
-different rad hoses
-power steering lines
-sensor wires
-ECU
-possible bell housing adapter/ different transmission
-if trans is swapped then t-case input shaft swap

I've heard its cheaper to sell off the present vhicle and just buy one with a bigger engine.
Unless its a V8 swap that is being swapped in.
just my $0.02

Jay over at Chanda has done a few  ;D engine swaps, and has reasonable Jeeper rates.
