« on: January 21, 2010, 09:01:18 PM »
my roomate just bought an '01 grand cherokee linited V8, he wants to install a lift in it but he's heard that they get the shakes because of the all wheel drive system.

It will not shake because of the AWD. It would be death wobble caused by loose steering components. Lifting it will be fine as long as all his parts are tight and in good condition.

any jeep that gets 'lifted' has potential for driveline vibes. i've run 5.5" lift with AWD and it was smooth.  every jeeps different.  what kits he looking at?  also, if he's just staying around 4" run the tcase drop and he should be fine.
might eat front driveshafts though; mine did with a 2"
