Mats for Wrangler
« on: March 17, 2010, 10:13:50 PM »
Just bought a 2010 Wrangler (basic model). Want to buy some mats, maybe some seat covers. Any recommendations? Any other accessories you recommend. I also have the basic sound system. Worth upgrading?

I bought my seat covers from Calgary Seat Cover. The color matches the rest of the jeep and they are a lawn chair material so they are water resistant and the prices good. They do everything from mats to seats. Here is their number 403.291.1550

Accessories you ask.... what do you plan on using your jeep for?  Then people can toss some specific ideas your way.

Wether you take it offroad or not, get some grab handles for the front seats.  They usually just wrap around the rollbar.  I've got some tall friends and they all find it more useful than the handle on the dash, and if you've got a 2 door like me it might save some manhandling of people going into/out of the back.  At least your passenger seatbelt is mounted to the seat, like the driver's side.  In my '07 they're mounted to the floor, creating some ridiculous human deathtrap.

I bought the "tire tread" type floormats from the dealership. They're more expensive than "standard" floor mats from Ukranian Tire, but they're nice thick rubber, and they fit into the footwells very well.

I ordered some neoprene seat covers from a company in the states called "Seat Glovers". They fit quite well, are water resistant, and seem to clean fairly easily when they do get mud on them.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(
