Easter Saturday shakedown run
« on: March 29, 2010, 08:33:50 AM »
i plan on wheelin on Sat April 3rd.
As it is a first time ever in the CJ, i plan on easy boring stuff.
i would like to go to the Falls, Margeret Lake and than???

My hope would to do it at a moderate pace. Very little stopping.
i would meet at Smittys parking lot in Cochrane at 9 a.m.
Leave at 9:30 sharp.

Anyone want to join me?

I'd be interested too, if you think my stock, no winch '06 Rubicon LJ would be up to the task.

I will be going out that weekend with some friends but will be on ATV's (cheaper then bringing out the trucks!), planing on camping up by the falls.
Might see you out there.  ;)

All are welcome to come. 8)
Proper tow points front and rear.
Good tires, not balding.
CB.

My personal pet peeve...airing down. Please go to at least 15psi. It will make your day and ours better. :)

Question for folks that know Waiporous. Can we still access Meadow Creek Trail from the cutline opposite the gravel pit? (not the trail that goes by the old CJA/Bogginfreaks campsite but the one that is before that opposite gravel pit).
Thanks

Yes, but the ice on the river may be broken.

By the way, the Smitty's has reopened.

Thanks Gun. Its been a while but is there other ways to Meadow Creek? What about if we go through the airstrip to the cutline that goes up and over to Maedowcreek?
Thanks for the Smitty info.

Um, what can I say on that question Spinalguy?

You're forced to take Lost Knife logging road in that case.

Have a great party Nick....

piece of advice. Run. Just run, and don't look back.
if we were smart with our money we wouldn't own Jeeps.
