Im not sure what the exact problem is but heres whats happening. Lately my clutch peddle has been losing its ability to disengauge the clutch. When I put the peddle to the floor the vehicle still wants to pull ahead just slightly. Is this the clutch wearing out or is the master cylinder or slave cylinder had its day. Any suggestions?

I would check your clutch fluid level. Also check for any signs of fluids leaks at the master and slave. You are lucky because you have an external slave. If the fluid level is low refill it and see if that helps. Also how is the pedal pressure?

I had a problem last year where I am loosing pedal pressure so I replaced the whole system (it comes as a complete unit from Chrysler).

Yeah I checked the fuild level it was down a bit so I topped it off. And that didnt make any difference at all. The pedal is easy enough to push to the floor that really hasnt changed at all since this problem occurred I think. I phoned auto value and they told me that I could buy both parts separately (master & slave cylinders). But in my haynes manual it says that it comes as a complete unit as you stated. I dont think auto value knows what they are talking about. What does the complete unit from the dealer cost anyway?

It was about $200 and was one of the simplest swaps I have ever done.

When you buy it as a compelte unit it is pre-bled, comes filled with fluid, and is usuall not in need of bleeding when you get it, just a simple bolt on.

The master / line / slave kit from Chrysler doesn't have a bleeder nipple , it's a closed system . Kinda odd , but that's how it is sold.

Picked up the master & slave today and yes it was ready tobe bolted on as is no fluid needed. 230 bucks from Courtesy Chrysler.
