Sunday night Timmy's

I was at Timmy's on 52 street tonight picking up an ice cappuccino and low and behold there was a Mopar group there for a Sunday night coffee meet. I think there was about 12 or so very cool cars. Lots of guys shooting the sh*t and talking cars.

Would anyone be into having this type of event over the summer for Jeeps? Sunday evening for an ice cap or coffee - maybe 7:30pm to 9:30? It would give people a chance to more formally meet and talk about their rigs.

I think we should give it a try. Lets say next Sunday, June 20th at 7:30PM - location: 5279 72 Avenue Southeast, Calgary.  Ice Caps or coffee are on me for everyone who shows up with a Jeep at that time.


PS: This may not be the best location for a lot of people but it has a large parking lot and they are used to this type of event. They encourage them.
If it goes well we can try other locations in the city based on your suggestions. Let me know your thoughts on this.

That is an awesome idea...there used to be weds night meetings at schanks..but thats the long forgotten CJA...a sunday night meet would be great, and give those who cant make it to regular meetings a good chance to meet up...i work nights and cant make it to such high profile meetings, and wouyld like to put a face to the names pf the new CJA...Sundays at Peter's Drive in would be great.

I would be up for that but I am out next week. I have one and a half more weeks of nights left and I agree with apeman Peter's Drive in would be great. Iced Caps are good too.

There's actually a fairly big group of guys that assemble at the 61ave Timmies in their Jeeps and 4x4's on Friday and Saturday. More room for us on Sundays!

Word of caution though. The police like to patrol that area and go over people's vehicles with a fine tooth comb from time to time. Be careful about your tires sticking too far from the sheetmetal, tinted windows, and loud exhausts fellas!

yeah what tubby said fridays/saturdays theres a group at tim hortons on 61st and barlow but due to other people its a heatscore and there always cops
