hey everyone
This coming April i will be canoeing across Canada in order to bring attention to the value of  Canada’s waterways and raise awareness for the efforts of the Nature Conservancy of Canada and the Canadian Heritage Rivers System.

What we need.
we need a couple of canoe carts welded up. its pretty basic, just a square aluminum frame that can have bike tire mounted to it. all materials can be paid for.

Send me a drawing or picture of what you would like to achieve and estimated time to manufacture. I will then check with my business partners and see if they are interested in completing task for you as a partial sponsorship or full, in exchange for a decal and website logo. Have 3-4 licenced welders on staff.  No promises at this time but will take a look.

Wow this part is quite and acheivement.

"NCC’s regional offices across the country have been busy securing important conservation projects. Since 1962, NCC has conserved more than 2 million acres across Canada, of which over 173,000 acres have been conserved in Alberta"


I don't see anything on that site about motorized access being secured. Am I missing that part of their goals on that website? I'll keep browsing in search of that part.

 You read it right gunner.  What does this have to do with fourwheeling  and jeeps ?  Can we access some of this closed land in our jeeps ?  Some of there land are in the form of easements registered with property titles which basically says   No motorized access ever and  no trails or roads built ever . This is on privately owned land .

i looked at your route because i was thinking BC to Calgary would be interesting to see how you do it.

i see that you are presently in Saskatchewan. In one day a lot of kms were covered yesterday. i don't canoe but i can definitely drool at how very kewl a trip across the country would be! Adrenalin rush? Probably

i can not support your cause though.
i think many a motorized vehicle has dropped off canoeists in some pretty sweet spots across this great and wide open country. Therefore, i can not support the organizations you are trying to bring attention and awareness to...they prefer no motors

But, at the end of the day, canoeing across Canada is still AWESOME.

thanks superles. i have already had one other person offer help. but i will let you know if that offer falls through. partial sponsorship / decal is totally possible.

although the land being protected is not accessible by jeeps i know that a lot of people 4x4 to see that nature of things and not to just rip up some mud.  just figured some people would like to help out one of Canadas most important resources and being a jeep forum i know that there would be a bunch pf welders.
